Friends of Roots would like to invite you to the 2016 interns' presentation about their experiences in China and their year in the Roots: Him Mark Lai Family History Project.

The Roots 2016 cohort at the Meiguan Pass in Nanxiong, Guangdong Province, China

The Roots program is for young Chinese Americans. The overarching intent of the program is to provide the participants with an awareness and appreciation of the totality of the Chinese American experience. After exploring their Chinese roots in America, participants explore their roots in China through visits to their ancestral villages and other historical and cultural sites in Guangdong Province.

The presentation and exhibit will be held at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center, on the second floor of the Pacific Renaissance Plaza in the heart of Oakland Chinatown.
