In July, eleven Roots interns, along with three leaders, will travel to the Pearl River Delta region in Guangdong Province, China. They will be visiting their ancestral villages in Kaiping, Taishan, Zhongshan, Panyu, Nanhai, Zhaoqing, Dongguan and Huizhou. Follow their journey here.
Featuring keynote speaker: Paula Madison. Paula is a retired NBC executive, who wrote a book and made a documentary about her search for her Hakka Chinese grandfather's family. This year's gala will be held at the historic Far East Cafe in the heart of San Francisco Chinatown.
